Building Resilience in Tuvalu Through Effective Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Workshop Report

This report outlines the key outcomes of the Building Resilience in Tuvalu Through Effective Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Training Workshop, held in Funafuti from May 26–30, 2025. The workshop brought together over 20 government officials and stakeholders to strengthen Tuvalu's capacity for environmental and social governance. Delivered through a partnership between the Department of Environment, SPREP, SPC, and supported by GCF and UNDP via TCAP, the training addressed key challenges in Tuvalu’s ESIA system, including legislative gaps, institutional fragmentation, and limited technical capacity.
